Message from Our Founder, Saniea F. Majid, MD, FACS, FASMBS
I am a Weight Loss Surgeon performing surgical and non-surgical options for my patients. I have been trained by world experts in the field of Obesity, and I have chosen to dedicate my career to help individuals fight this disease.
This is truly my passion and I find no greater joy than seeing my patients lose weight and gain control over their life and health; and seeing individuals potentially cured of their chronic illnesses, including hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea among others.
I founded the Metabolic and Bariatric service line at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark in 2012 which became a Center of Excellence, the highest level of National Accreditation for a hospital.
I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) Foundation. In March 2021, I became the President of the New Jersey chapter of ASMBS.
